How long does the program take to complete?
Our program is created to meet the “clock hours” most states require for licensure. Our WI State licensed program meets the Wisconsin’s 450 hour requirement, with quality curriculum and practical training providing personal attention to each students specific learning needs. (210 theory/ 240 practical).
We can customize our program to meet your specific training needs. We have a program that meets other states requirements of 250 up to 800 hours, students looking for extra training, continuing education hours, and licensed electrologists who want to hone their professional skills. We offer a 350 hour course for students from unlicensed states (not requiring licensure), to give you the knowledge, and professionalism your clients demand.
The 450 hour program is split into two parts:
1) E-Learning theory course: 15-16 week course comprised of 10 - units specifically designed to meet the criteria for state board and national testing. Students can complete on their own time schedule, around their other obligations. This saves our students the extra expense of traveling, taking time off work, and more time to spend doing the things you love while learning.
2) Practical- Hands on Course: Our 9 - 10 week immersive, in- person practical course follows the e-learning course. It is held at our spacious, modern Waukesha Campus with a large classroom, 5 treatment rooms, modern machines, and a comfortable reception area. Students will work on a variety of clients daily after they are tested/ evaluated. Students will be educated on all 3 modalities, including cataphoresis. Safety and sanitation is always enforced for student and client protection. A “mock” state board written and practical exam will be given to prepare students for their actual exam. We have a 100% pass rate for both the written and practical exam. Classes are held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 am- 5:00pm.
Our classes are taught by our experienced instructors who are working electrologists, business owners, and former Wisconsin State board examiners/ Lead Coordinators for Milwaukee and Madison testing sites. Their experience and knowledge provides our students and edge when preparing for their state board practical exams.
How many students per class?
Our classes are kept small to give each student the individual attention they require. We limit our classes to six students for the practical portion of the course. We have a variety of machines and treatment rooms for each student to work on their skills every class. We don’t cut corners to rush your learning or skills, we allow you take the time you need to digest and process the information. We operate the school like a professional clinic. Students work on a variety of clients , and also learn the business side of electrology if they intend to be self employed. Our students get top notch education one-on-one attention.

Tell me about the course, and who teaches the classes?
Our electrology program was not purchased from a retiring electrologist by a newly graduated student, purchased from a school thats been out of business for years, or as part of a manufacturer franchise like many other programs in the area.
We are unique; our course was developed and designed by Jacqui the owner/ a licensed electrology instructor actively teaching the course. The course is updated regularly, not on “auto pilot” like most outdated courses. She believes in continuing education and has earned every professional license possible to provide the best education for her students, including the National CPE license
Our program is engaging with a variety of teaching methods for all students, with consideration to students with different learning styles. Our modern course is exceptionally organized, easy to follow, utilizes the latest technology, and students will always have an instructor at their fingertips if they need a question answered.
Our instructors have over 50 years combined of education, business, marketing, laser treatments, and professional hands on experience that they can’t wait to share with our future electrology professionals! Our course is the best there is, and why we have a 100% pass rate on our student’s State Board exams.
The owner Jacqui, a licensed electrology instructor, perfected her teaching skills at Waukesha County Technical College for years teaching adult students, along with earning her 5 -year (WTCS) WI Technical College System teaching certificate. She wrote this electrology curriculum with adult learners in mind, who may have family and work obligations while in school. She understands adult learners and the different learning styles they may have, along with learning difficulties that some students may have. The e-learning course was designed to be fun and keep students engaged, while meeting the requirements of the state covering all the required material.
The brand new, up-to- date course meets and exceeds the knowledge required for state and national licensing exams. Our curriculum is based on the applicable syllabus approved by the WI State Board, meeting the hours listed for the subjects in the WI electrology school syllabus, and also meets requirements for all other licensed and unlicensed states.
What machines/ equipment are used at EIW?
We believe in teaching our students about a variety of brands of epilators on the market. Many schools are required to use only a specific brand of epilator because the school purchased their curriculum from the machine manufacturer.
We have the most current technology on the market with 7 electrology machines, including (3) of the newest 27.12 mHZ technology; Apilus xCell Pur, and xCell Pro. In addition to the industry standard 13.56 mHZ machines; Apilus Sr II and Sr 3G, and the Fischer CompuBlend machine to make our students more versatile. The variety of machines we offer allows students to decide which one they prefer and can afford.
We also have retro machines in our small scale “Electrolysis Museum”, along with relics of old hair removal methods from the past. We have several different treatment tables ranging from fully adjustable hydraulic dental chairs to completely manual tables to let students experience all types.
How much does the course cost?
Do I have to pay all the tuition upfront? Do you offer financing?
The total cost for our complete 450-hour electrolysis training program including all application/ enrollment fees, course materials, textbooks, equipment usage, and practical instruction is $9,775.00.
Approximately 1/2 the tuition fee is to be paid prior to beginning the theory course, with the balance of the tuition due on or before the first class of the practical course.
